Each day's edition runs as a cycle. The desk numbers the sections in the order they appear.
| Product | What it is | Arrives | Included with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Morning Brief | The top five signals, placed in context before the day pulls you in every direction | Each morning | Briefing Desk and up |
| Essays | Three essays a day, each following the evidence beneath an event, with citations | Through the day | One selected essay for Observer; all three from Briefing Desk |
| Flash | Off-cycle intelligence: when a story breaks between editions, a sourced read goes out the moment it matters. Each piece shows the time it broke | Any time | Briefing Desk and up |
| Evening Brief | The second daily sweep: what strengthened, what weakened, and what to watch | After 7 PM PT | Briefing Desk and up |
| Daily Scorecard | The day's signals and assessments, kept accountable over time | After 7 PM PT | Analyst Desk and Team Desk |
| Nexus Maps | How signals connect, from daily and weekly maps out to year-end views | After 7 PM PT, then by horizon | Analyst Desk and Team Desk |
| Special Reports | Focused investigations that give consequential developments their depth | As published | Analyst Desk and Team Desk |
Why do Essays sometimes show yesterday's pieces? The Essays section always shows the five latest. Today's come first, and earlier ones carry a PREVIOUS badge with their date, so key stories stay at the top a little longer.
Why don't I see Flash today? Flash appears only on days with breaking pieces. On other days the section is hidden.
