Data security

Compass uses a self-hosted Ghost installation managed by The Noble House, LLC. Membership records are held in that deployment, rather than in Ghost(Pro) hosting. Public website connections use HTTPS; Stripe processes payments. We maintain access controls, backups and operational safeguards appropriate to the services we operate.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can: access your data through account settings, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, export your data, and unsubscribe from emails (link in every message).

California residents: Additional rights under CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell data. EU/EEA residents: Additional rights under GDPR including data portability and right to lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.

Cookies

We use cookies and browser storage for authentication, membership sessions and preferences such as language and display settings. The site also loads selected third-party resources, including fonts and publishing components. If you choose external translation or media services, those providers can receive technical request data and the information needed to provide that feature under their own privacy policies. We do not sell advertising placements or add advertising trackers as part of the Compass revenue model.

Editorial Process & Accuracy Disclosure

THE NOBLE HOUSE™ Media & AI Lab operates an AI-assisted editorial platform under human editorial direction.

Signal detection and research: Our proprietary analytic platform continuously ingests data from markets, policy sources, technology publications, regulatory filings, and geopolitical developments. AI systems identify emerging patterns, anomalies, and connections across these streams.

Predictive modeling: Our scenario modeling technology generates probabilistic forecasts from structured inputs. Models produce signals, not conclusions. Signals inform analysis but do not determine it.

Drafting: AI systems assist with research synthesis and initial draft preparation. Drafts are starting points, not finished products.

Editorial supervision: Our editorial platform uses AI for research, signal detection, analysis, drafting and narration. Human editorial leadership sets the standards and oversees automated production and quality checks. The extent of manual review varies by workflow and publication; automated checks are not represented as manual review of every item. Carlos Samuels, Founder and Editor-in-Chief, retains editorial authority and responsibility for corrections.

Audio narration: AI text-to-speech produces narration from editorial scripts, which may also be prepared with AI assistance. Narrations may condense or adapt the written article and are not always verbatim readings.

Accuracy standard

We operate on a best-effort accuracy standard:

  • Claims sourced to named individuals, specific datasets, or verifiable events
  • Significant claims cross-referenced across multiple sources when possible
  • Inferences labeled as inferences, opinions labeled as opinions
  • Corrections published promptly and visibly
  • Predictions scored publicly against outcomes

We are an independent publication, not an audited research institution. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee completeness or timeliness. Our content is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, investment, or strategic advice.

Ethics Statement

Independence. Compass Strategic Intelligence is supported by memberships, voluntary patron support, and separately priced publications for paid members. We do not sell advertising placements, sponsored articles, or paid editorial coverage on Compass. Our wider media business may earn platform advertising revenue, creator-program payments, and clearly disclosed sponsorships on external distribution platforms. Financial support does not purchase editorial influence over our findings, forecasts, or conclusions.

External distribution and disclosure. Our publishing plan includes written work on Substack and Medium; video shorts of up to three minutes on X, Reddit, YouTube and TikTok; podcast editions typically lasting 15-18 minutes; and extended conversations of 30-60 minutes or longer on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and other selected services. Formats, availability and monetization depend on each release and the relevant platform. External platforms may serve advertising and offer creator payments where we are eligible. Any sponsorship we arrange is identified with the relevant external post, episode, or segment, using clear disclosures in the content itself. A policy-page notice alone is not a sponsorship disclosure. Compass-hosted editorial coverage remains free of sponsored placement.

Accountability. Forecasts carry confidence levels, timelines, and public scoring. Failed predictions stay on the scorecard.

Transparency. We disclose AI-assisted methods because they are a strength. Our platform detects more signals than any human team could. Our editors apply judgment no AI can replicate. The combination is the product.

Human accountability. The Editor-in-Chief sets editorial policy, oversees human and automated publishing processes, and remains accountable for editorial standards and corrections.
